Ilya leads backend development at Yandex Crowd. Before that, he worked in fintech (where he learnt a bit about being pragmatical), and defended his PhD thesis in evolutionary computation as a hobby. He is interested in anything related to performance and anything that makes programmers' lives more enjoyable.
