The Quantum Revolution: Through Confusion to Triumph

  • In Russian
Presentation pdf

The accumulation of unexplainable experimental data in the first quarter of the twentieth century led to a demand for a new understanding of nature with a rejection of visualisation. Two independently devised abstract schemes at first looked hostile to each other but turned out to be mathematically equivalent. The quantum mechanics that emerged from here gives the best agreement with experience, but dispenses with explanations about what happens in our three-dimensional space.
