Spring Data JDBC. Problems Known, Problems Unknown

Spring Data JDBC is a relatively new Spring Data module. It has its design principles, features, and of course problems. Some portion of these problems are known to the audience and outlined in the documentation. But sometimes the documentation can be a bit deceiving. There can also be unintuitive implementation details that are unobvious or misleading to potential users. That can be anything from SQL query generation to entity mapping.

In this talk, we are going to look at a handful of these problems and discuss whether it is a feature or a bug and what library developers plan to do about it. We are also going to look at Spring Data JDBC current state and review issues that are WIP now.
