perf Profiler and JVM (part 2)
perf is a profiler built into the Linux kernel. perf has a number of unique features that JVM profilers do not have. During the master class you will work with perf and JVM (requires Linux) and compare it to more traditional JVM profiling methods.
Preparing for the workshop: To do the hands-on part, you will need a computer with Linux and root access. A Linux virtual machine on another OS is also suitable. You will need perf, OpenJDK 17 and optionally Mission Control. You will also need git for preparation.
